We came, we saw, we went home empty handed! We also had a fucking great time at the Clarendon Tavern Battle of the Bands last Wednesday. Massive, massive shout out to Leanne and First Shot Entertainment for a great promotion. Also props to Daniel and Rust Storm who joined us in the also-ran category but who are great guys and a rocking band. We'll be seeing more of them. Congrats to Calamari Syndicate, Five Hertz and Zipper Clones who went through to the final. Keep an eye out for Zipper Clones in particular - as Daniel put it “like Aldi, good-different”. Fucking loved their electropunk insanity.
So yeah great night. Rock and Roll was the winner. Not us. We just ain't that kind of band.
